Practical and Effective Approaches to Coaching Abrasive Leaders

Abrasive leaders’ management style causes distress sufficient to disrupt organizational functioning. Some of the consequences of their behavior are resentment, possible law suits, higher turnover and passive resistance. When the cost of their behavior is limiting the manager’s future, often a coach is called in. From being perceived as a high potential, the executive is suddenly perceived as a liability.
